Project: Rabbit musings

I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I haven’t written anything since January 6, 2010. It kind of aggravates me that I don’t have any new material, and I would say half of the year I was focusing on English than on writing. Writing just comes to me–essays on the other hand don’t. And yet, I can wipe out a 3-4 page essay in about a few hours.Given they wouldn’t need to be researched first. *shudders*

Then, there’s that angel and human story I started writing a week ago (which I’ve now scrapped, because I’m onto bigger and better things). And, I wonder is all this prep work I’m doing for my own Visual Novel really necessary? I am following Idiot’s Guide to Writing a Novel and Everything You Need to Know About Creative Writing. They are two good books don’t get me wrong. But, I’m not creating a novel that I’m going to publish! I’m creating a story. A simple story.

*Sigh* Who knows?

But, then again I have absolutely how the plot should be so I’m writing a few versions of the story from different characters perspective. I’m just going to write the perspectives of the main characters, and weave together the story. Still… I don’t know if I want to do a kinetic or a visual novel that has interactive points. I’m kind of leaning to the latter. Maybe, I’ll make this project bigger than I intended it… but, only time will tell.

A novel idea?

I was browsing an RPG Maker webpage.  And, I found this interesting thing that I want to play with. It’s called Ren’py. I got interested, and decided to muck around with it a bit. I decided to try to make a Kinetic Visual Novel, which means the player could just sit back and read the novel.

The novel I had decided to do was the first Super Fammy Origins story. I will just try it out, and if people seem to like it I’ll make more. But, then again I am working on my own project– “Project One Heart”. I could use that but that would  take forever to make.  Here’s a screenshot for testing this out:

Anyway, school’s a go for next semester (Fall 2010). I turned in the rest of the financial aid stuff this morning and am now waiting for my consular to e-mail me back. So, I’m going to hope everything goes alright, and Chris and I will be able to get out things before school starts.
