Hi…

School has come and gone again. I passed all m y classes as well. This closes a chapter in my life, and opens another. I am bot happy and yet scared. I got my certificate in accounting. And, all is right in the world. Now, I have to go into job training. But, in the mean time I would like to relax, and write and draw. These are the things I missed over the last three years. Although, my mind draws a blank when I try to write. I wish these was something that could easily come to mind. especially since I draw my inspiration from people around me, and video games….

I have a weird taste in games, In the past week, I played a bit of Dragon Quest IX (mostly in school). Lately I’ve seen a blue and white dog in Best Buy, when my boyfriend and I gone there in the past few months. I (oddly enough) started thinking about it in art class. I don’t know why. And, we were looking at fresco and sculptures in Rome.

It’s called a Wappy Dog. It’s made by Activision, which was bought by Blizzard (I believe). My Wappy Dog is named Wappy, and it’s a girl. I determined this by Wappy’s voice when I converse with it. The game “box” contained an interactive Wappy Dog, the game on DS and a doggie bone stylist. I got it at Walmart for $50. I have to thing is the stylist really worth the $20?!

Anyway, I checked my grades for income tax on Thursday. It was the last thing I did before going to bed. I got a 30/30!! I was so happy and excited. I went to bed happy, yet had a nightmare all in one night. But I believe I got through it. And, it now seems far away.

Art Write Up #1

I went to the California state treasury yesterday for four hours, looking at all the nooks and crannies. It was very interesting to me, and to see things that we’ve (my dad and I) never seen before.  My dad is very knowledgeable when it comes to various surroundings, and places one might go (i.e. San Fran). But, he was my tour guide nonetheless.

Our adventure started about one PM (we had stopped at a few places first, mainly to get food for me; I haven’t eaten anything since the night before). We walked around the building first. The building has many names besides State Treasury. It’s named State Building 1, State Building 2, and some other name that I cannot remember. This is all besides the State Treasury (of course). Plagues inside the State Treasury say it is called State Building 2, a piece of paper inside the front of the building says it’s called number one.

Anyway, we started up on the sixth floor (which used to be a café in the past), but we couldn’t go into it because we’re not allowed.  It’s a file room now. Then we venture into the fifth floor and into the pediment, but was somewhat disappointed that one could not get close up into the statues of the pediment, because of the offices— cubicles. But, I was in the pediment, and that’s what counts.  We saw pictures on the wall that pertained to the construction of the building, and its early days.

We went inside the Volute’s of the building, and it really was impressive. Each lobby (for the staff) was incased in marble (even the men’s bathroom). We also went down into the basement, where the western staircase was also in marble. But, floors five through two weren’t really impressive anymore because of the renovations done on the building. Yet, they still had a lot of marble drinking fountains which were not in use.

The lobby was decked out with 6 square columns, and sixteen Doric columns. It was very spacious. I know I’ll have to probably come back and take a look around at them again. The floors where made out of marble as well. The outside had 10 columns, which were Doric but they’re coverings were Ionic.  And, each entrance held two plagues (which eight are unaccounted for according to the research that my dad did). And, the outside had two statues made out of marble I believe.  The whole building (except the first floor) is made out of Terracotta (clay, brick like material). The first floor was made out of granite, which was expensive.

Life

Life has been going good. I’m in Business 09 (Income Tax) and Art 1A (Art History) this semester. This is suppose to be my last semester, but I don’t know… I kind of messed up the certificate process. I had other things in my mind when I was filling it out. Secretly, I hope that it works out in the end. But who knows. Plus, my mom thinks she’s helping me, but all she is doing is causing me me stress. It kind of sucks. I know what I’m suppose to do, and yet she never helps.

I started playing Wakfu this weekend. It’s a free to play mmo that requires you to pay for features that I believe should be free. I did enjoy my experience with the game though. It just sucks that you have to pay to be able to level up professions…

I’ve bought Kingdom’s of Amular in the past month. I’ve only played roughly about twenty hours of it. I’ve been busy with school, life and whatnot. It took me 11 or so hours to finish the quest in the first area (that was from the demo). I choose a female Dokkalfar for my first run through of the game. I like the fact you can go a diplomatic way (in some quest) and you can say, “screw it all” and become evil.

Other than that there’s nothing else to say. I’m hoping to write a story soon. Maybe. At least that’s what I’m hoping for during Spring Break.

Galleria’s Grand Reopening

Yesterday was awesome. After school my mom and I headed over to the Galleria Mall in Roseville. It was really busy. Now, for those who don’t know there was a fire there around mid-late October last year. And, a wing of the mall got shut down. Anyway, it reopened yesterday.  And, I went to see what new stores have been added, and what stores been taken away.

Sanrio had actually been added. It closed down sometime before the fire and with this grand reopening there is now a Sanrio Express there, which I’m happy about. I haven’t been to a Sanrio in years.  I bought a MyMelody doll there. She’s sitting on my nightstand for now. When I clean my desk, sometime this weekend; I’ll put her there along with a penguin from Madagascar, the Mad Hatter and Yokomon.

The place that I’m mostly impressed with is the Disney Store. It looks better than it did a year ago… glass walls and all. And, they have play things kids… and even adults can go into. I actually bought a Nala (from Lion King) doll from there too. I’m thinking of buying Simba as well when I get enough money.

…There was also music playing and people singing in front of JCPennys and Macy’s…

I called my mom after I was done shopping and tired from all that walking… and I am still tired. It didn’t help that I was wearing boots. It had rained earlier in the day so I took precautions to make myself warm, because of it. The sun came out at noon and stayed out to play for the rest of the day.

Feelings…

I went to the dentist today for a check up today. I knew for awhile that my teeth aren’t really prefect. But, what’s prefect? No one is prefect. Apparently, there is suppose to be work done on my mouth which would end up being expensive. Ugh. I do not have much money. If I did then I would have got it done today– or already. But, who wants to sit in a chair for half a day– getting fillings and teeth cleaned?

I also have a feeling that I am not going to be passing Accounting 09 this term. I’m apparently failing the class. So, that’s another another semester at Sierra to add to my belt. It sucks really. I want this to be over with, although in retrospect I already know what I’d miss. I’d miss those little concert events. My favorite being Earth Day.I went to one this week, well– it was a benefit concert for building a school in Tanzania. .. for girls. Those poor girls. I know I wish I could do more, yet it feels good to donate to an awesome cause.

And, then everything in Japan… It never stops.

I’ve taken up drawing again. I want to do something more with that, but I don’t know. I do have a writing project that I am working on. I might abandon it though because I wrote myself into a wall. I don’t know we will see. There has to be something more that I can do with it. I’ll see after I finish some of my homework.

Reminiscing

The last two days have been excruciating. My CIS 50 teacher had me go through a run around, on a bad day. Yesterday, I thought I could take the test. And, apparently had to run around the campus trying to figure out what to do. I couldn’t take the test as planned. Instead I had to e-mail the teacher (which I ended up doing twice), and running around a whole lot.

I’ve done this before… about a year ago. I signed in for a test and found out my Nutrition teacher did not put the test in the testing center (she had forgotten). I had to go between the testing center a few times. I hated that especially when I was interrupted the test takers. Yet, in retrospect; I remember making contact with my eyes on Chris (who ironicly moved across the classroom to sit by me).

This class will be loads of fun. It made me miss spending time with my family already (even though I know I wouldn’t spend time with them). I was kind of looking forward to going down there, but was a bit skeptical because of that whole mess I went through yesterday. The mess lead me to sleeping early because of this headache that wouldn’t stop.

Para… Activities..

Chris and I had celebrated Valentines Day yesterday. We have lots of fun, but it rain did a lot. The Friday before last I bought him a box of chocolates, and a card. I like the card because what it said it was true. It said something along the lines that the only thing I needed was him. It was a hard time picking out a restaurant because he kept wanting to go to Red Robin. I want to go someplace different but I ended up agreeing with him because we made a deal that this would be last time we go there.

On Thursday of last week, I didn’t want to go to school because of the heavy rain. Yet, to my surprise the teacher had e-mailed everyone in the class and said class was canceled. So, I spent the day making character profiles for a brand-new project. Yeah. I’m still having trouble writing something legit. *Sigh* I wish I could write something that I’m happy with. Just one thing… Today, I worked on my accounting test. It is the second test of the semester. I didn’t do well on the first test, but I’m glad these test are only chapter tests. That means there’s no midterm nor final. Yet their will be quizzes a semester.

*EDIT* I just realized that I named this post, ” Para Activities” because I just finished watching Paranormal Activity 2″. The reason that I love watching it is because Chris pointed something out. Katie can be seen at the end of the movie before the demon kills Dan and his wife. Yet, I didn’t catch any of this the first time I watched it. And in the second time. Oh well…

Life and School

This past weekend has been somewhat eventful. Well, really it started before the weekend. My dad ordered three brand new house phones because our old one(s) have stopped working. Well, they work up tll a point. And, that point is answering the phone, so I guess it doesn’t really work.

Anyway, during the past weekend we shopped for a laptop (a replacement for my broken one).  We ended up getting a HP laptop, which has a fingerprint reader. I’ve registered my fingerprint, but I still am not sure how to use it. My mom and I also went around shopping for a stereo to replace the one she sent to Philippines. We didn’t end up buying one though. I ended up buying a Creative Zen X-Fi2 MP3 player. Even though it’s not wifi (or a phone) I still love it.

I did something spontaneous as well on Saturday. I went to the barbershop and got a hair cut. My hair is now shoulder length. I like it actually, it just get some getting used to, especially  since my hair is somewhat wild. On another note I bought a few video games. I also now have a video game blog named Nila Ranch Gaming.  I am looking forward to playing Resident Evil REmake and Resident Evil Code Veronica.

Oh! And, school… school’s school… All I have to do is focus on Federal Income Tax (Accounting 09), and what a horrible job I’m doing at that. I just spent most of this afternoon playing catch up on homework… and we’re getting our second take home test tomorrow. That’s awful. At least there is no school on Monday because of President’s Day.
